Zul gurub

Last evening I was invited to run ZG in Stranglethorn. This is an outdoor raid instance. Never having been in a raid and having time available to run, I jumped on the opportunity. This is a 20-man raid but we did it with 9, but at least 5 of us were level 70. I was the off-tank and the main tank was a druid. We rocked! Though, we did wipe twice, not sure what happened the 1st time just got everyone in the square on us, the 2nd time was on a boss who continuously healed herself. We didn't have a chance. I got several comments when the instance was complete and even told that I could join the raid leader's guild in Kara sometime.

Xandrea dinged to 45. Pleiadez is at 29. Thinking of pvping her a bit at 29, but not sure. Battlegrounds are brutal to priests and she doesn't have much stamina but maybe I'll give it a try.

Mooshoobeef has been replaced by a troll hunter - Sarcania. We'll see how that goes.

Updates!

Time for updating the blog. I would like to chronicle my toons progress so I can look back and see what I've done and how I've progressed.

Here we go:

Daricia is level 70 and tanking instances. I am feeling more confident and always learn something new each one I tank.

Xandrea is at level 43. Hey, she did the mana wraiths outside Tabetha's cabin alone. Everyone was telling me you needed to have a level 70 (and maybe 2) with you to complete the quest but what they don't realize is that you can pull one mana wraith at a time! Frostbolt and wand were my friend!

Pleiadez is at level 27 and has been enjoying running around Ashenvale with Cepheus (hunter). Still trying to get the hang of running a priest. I guess I just don't play her enough.

Battlegrounds

The battlegrounds are so much fun! I was afraid to go as I was afraid of the constant dying that would occur. I think this goes back to myself not being really confident in myself so I wasn't confident I could help and succeed in the battleground. I felt I would let everyone down. but, I soon discovered that none of that matters.

One of my online friends said she would go with me. she plays a gnome mage and has been in the battlegrounds before. We decided to go to the Arathi Basin and she and I stayed together and helped each other throughout our battles. We guarded flags and helped take down some of the horde characters. I kept getting feared a lot and in one battle, I had the hunter arrow on top of me for a very long time! But I was killing and causing threat. Yes, I died a lot but it didn't matter. It was exciting, chaotic, and fun. Everyone should experience the battleground!

I've been questing through Stranglethorn Vale. I hear lots of people really enjoy STV, but me, I'm not that nuts about it. I have one quest I want to complete there and then I'm off to Desolace

Scarlet Monastery

Oh what fun! I've gone 3 times the last 2 days. Each time for about 2 hours each. Lots of stuff for killing and I had the most fun in the graveyard where I was able to use consecrate and exorcism on all those undead creatures.

Itu and Bev helped me gather the pre-quests for SM by running me through Desolace killing 30 undead creatures. Then we met for a trip in SM. The first trip consisted of 2 warriors, 1 shaman, 1 priest and me. We made it 2 parts the library and one other. The priest did all the healing and he was very good at it. I helped by jumping in after the 2 tanks drew the baddies over and killing -- using lots of judging.

the 2nd trip wasn't quite the same. We had several lower leveled characters - 2 mages, 1 shaman, 1 hunter and me. We got wiped a couple of times and finally just had to hearth out as our main healer had to go. One of 0ur members decided to be a hotdog and got himself killed while we all stood back and watched.

The 3rd trip was much better. 2 warriors, a rogue, a shaman and me. I felt bad for Atu as she had been fighting the last time we played and this time she just stood in back and healed, oh and threw out her totems. I assisted Erikk with killing after he pulled the mob back. It was a lot of fun! I now have 3 pieces to the SM mail set. And, I got a cool axe. I know I'll be back in SM looking for more gear!

I finally found a trainer in Ironforge to teach me axes. I had been there several times before but he'd never had the option available for me. I think it must've been a level thing.

Gnomer, gnomer, gnomer

Yesterday was Gnomer day! It was fun! We Southern Comfort girls met in Ironforge in front of the bank and while waiting for our guy to arrive, had a naked dance fest! It was hilarious! So many others stopping and watching. Then we decided to run to Gnomer naked. We had other people following us. It was great!

Gnomer is huge, but there are fun mobs there. I'm getting to feel more confident in these instances with each one that I complete. In this one we had a 70 Warrior, a 39 warrior, a 23 Priest and another priest but not sure his level and me a 30 Pally. We were able to complete all the quests for all of us. The instance takes some time though. We were there at least 2 hours and probably could've been 3 if it wasn't for the fact some of us had to leave.

Earlier in the day a guild member offered to help me on some quests in Ashenvale. Ashenvale has frustrated me. The mobs like to gang up on me and the horde guards at Splintertree are just aggravating. They always kill me. A couple of days ago, I buffed a horde rogue, he then waved and cheered at me. Oh my, I took off. So, it was good when this other person (a 51 druid) offered to help me out. We completed 2 big quests and he had fun killing the horde guards. Then I was able to complete the Chalice one on my own. Gave me a lot of confidence. I am getting better at learning how to play this character

I need to work on my gear and weapons and figuring out what is the best for me to use. I also need to fish and cook. I was slow in learning these two professions so have a lot of catching up to do.

Wetlands

Oh, I had fun last night killing raptors in Wetlands. They spawn quickly and give good experience points. I leveled and just really enjoyed myself!
